Dear Friends and Partners in Lao Mission
It is just a year ago when many of you responded to the Lord’s initiative
in securing a house and land in Luang Prabang for us. Indeed, the way the
Lord helped us secure this piece of land and house which now being used as
the only church building/property in Luang Prabang is nothing else but a
miracle. Since then our church membership in Luang Prabang has exploded,
jumping from 135 to 257 and climbing. Already a church of more than 20
families has been added this year. Another house church, 70 km north of
Luang Prabang is also too crowded.
We are delighted to share with you that language schools are the best
channels to introduce Lao people, especially young and educated people, to
the Lord. Now, the original church/school building that you helped
purchase is too crowded, as it has only once classroom, and can no longer
accept more students. We had to turn away students just because we could
not add to our class anymore. It just does not have enough space! And we
can only teach 3 hours per day, after school hours. Those souls who were
turned away are potential souls who supposed to be added to the kingdom of
God. Would you not mourn for the loss of those souls? Would you rather
help provide more classrooms so that those souls can be saved for the
Kingdom? So, let’s make another miracle. This time to build a simple
two-storey school with 3 standard sized classrooms and a school principal’s
apartment. So, if you are able to contribute, whether small or big amount,
please let us know. Every dollar and cent means a piece of brick or a bag
of cement which will be the foundation or walls of this school for the
glory and honor of our Lord Jesus.
May I leave this urgent and important need with you. May God richly bless
you as you consider supporting His work in a least entered country like
Laos.
PS: Many exciting things have happened during my last trip to Laos, May
23-31, 2016. Just give me a few more days and I will send out a report
that will blow your mind. God has done many miracles in Laos lately.
Best regards
K. Phetchareun
